The water and road infrastructures rehabilitation at Quinta do Lago’s Rua das Palmeiras ended in early July.

This is a street where there were several problems in the pavement, namely depressions, deformations caused by tree roots and inefficient signage.

As buildings have increased in this area, Infraquinta has identified some limitations of this street in terms of pedestrian infrastructures and accessibility. In this sense, besides the repaving of the street, the intervention also contemplated the creation of sidewalks and parking spaces.

Along with these interventions, the renovation works of the water supply network were anticipated, works that were already foreseen in the Infraquinta's infrastructure rehabilitation plan. Thus, in order to minimize the impact on the area and aiming to optimizing resources, the works to replace existing fibre cement ducts, whose lifetime was already exceeded, were also included.

Characterized by a high state of wear caused by surrounding pine roots and some accessibility limitations, Rua das Palmeiras is now renovated after two months of intervention.
