What's new in Quinta do Lago?
In the last month several works were carried out by Infraquinta. Among which we highlight the most relevant for Quinta do Lago’s users.
With the goal of contributing to the quality improvement of the public spaces of Quinta do Lago, interventions were made in the areas of São Lourenço Norte, 4th Roundabout and Rails of Nature.
The grass of the 4th roundabout was already a few years old and was full of weeds. It was therefore replaced by a grass mix consisting mainly of Festuca - a species more resistant to drought and with lower water requirements.
In the rails of Nature, several pathologies were identified in the Bird Observatory. Wood in bad condition was replaced, namely the counters and the ladder. With a new painting, inside and out, this space of great affluence now has more favourable conditions to its use.
Those who pass on Rua Zêzere, in the São Lourenço Norte development, can now see a new plot. Infraquinta was requested to arrange this entrance area. Since the available water in the zone is of the public network, it was decided not to use grass for the efficient management of water resources. A zone of shrubs and herbaceous plants was then created, using native plants from the Algarve, such as arbutus, aroeira, puff and rosemary.
After the intervention of Infraquinta this space is more appealing and framed within the quality parameters of Quinta da Lago.
