It was on March 13 that we received the children of the 1st and 2nd years of the elementary school of São Lourenço. This was the 3rd activity developed within the scope of the environmental education action plan carried out in partnership with the Municipality of Loulé. This activity is part of the celebrations of the International Forest Day 2019, and was attended by Mrs. Vereadora Marilyn Zacarias.

The students visited the Infraquinta plant propagation nursery where they learned the process of germination and propagation of the same. The importance of the use of plants originating in the region (native plants) and the advantages they represent in terms of maintenance were also reinforced. Because they are native to the region, these plants are more adapted to soil and climate conditions, are more resistant to pests and require less watering.

To finalize the experience, Infraquinta also prepared a practical moment that consisted of the planting of Thistles and White Sarongs in the public garden of the beach park of Quinta do Lago.
