The hoisting of the flags at Quinta do Lago and Ancão Beaches
On World Oceans Day, Quinta do Lago and Ancão beaches, were awarded with the “Praia de Ouro” and “Bandeira Azul” flags.
This event, that took place during this morning, was done in the presence of the responsible entities, namely the Loulé Municipality, the ARS Algarve (Regional Health Administration of Algarve), the Faro Captaincy, the Coast Guard, the APA (Portuguese Environment Agency), Quinta do Lago, S.A., Infraquinta, E.M. and the Parish Council of Almancil.
These awards attributed by Quercus (National Association of Nature Conservation), ABAE (Blue Flag Association of Europe) and Portuguese branch of the Foundation for Environmental Education, represent the recognition of the quality of the beaches of the municipality of Loulé.
It is to emphasize that Ancão beach also received the “Praia Acessível” (Accessible Beach) flag, that is awarded to beaches that are accessible to persons with reduced mobility.
